About Us

Our Story

The Church Hub was born from a simple conviction: lead pastors who carry the weight of shepherding a church deserve a room where they can be honest, find perspective, and be strengthened for the long haul.

The Weight

The Responsibility of Pastoral Leadership

The pastor who carries primary leadership responsibility for a church holds a unique position. The decisions he makes shape the spiritual health, organizational direction, and long-term trajectory of the congregation. That responsibility carries weight — and it demands more than talent or education alone.

Healthy pastoral leadership requires wisdom, perspective, trusted relationships, and environments where a leader can be honest about what he's navigating. These are not luxuries. They are essentials for leading faithfully over the long haul.

The Need

A Growing Need in the Church

The landscape of pastoral ministry has grown more complex. Lead pastors today navigate challenges that previous generations rarely faced — rapid organizational growth, leadership transitions, cultural pressures, staff dynamics, elder alignment, and the constant demand to lead with clarity in an environment that changes quickly.

Many pastors face these realities without a safe place to process them. They lead publicly but carry the weight privately. And over time, that isolation creates strain — not just for the pastor, but for the church he leads.

There is a growing need for environments where lead pastors can step into a room with other leaders who understand, ask honest questions, and receive the kind of guidance that only comes from seasoned experience.

Our Beginning

"Rather than continuing to work in isolation, they chose to collaborate."

The Church Hub began when several seasoned pastoral leaders recognized they were each strengthening many of the same pastors through individual coaching and mentoring relationships. They were having the same conversations, addressing the same leadership challenges, and seeing the same patterns across churches of different sizes and traditions.

The result is The Church Hub: a community where lead pastors find trusted relationships, honest conversations, and seasoned guidance for the challenges they face. π

What Sets Us Apart

What Makes The Church Hub Different

Tables, not stages

Every environment is designed around small rooms and honest conversations, not large audiences or polished presentations.

Health, not metrics

The focus is on the health of the pastor and the resulting health of the church — not attendance numbers or growth models.

Seasoned leaders, not consultants

Guidance comes from pastors with decades of faithful ministry experience who understand the weight from the inside.

Trust that allows growth

Real growth happens when a pastor can be honest about what he's navigating without worrying about how it will be perceived.

Leadership

The Leaders Behind the Hub

The Church Hub is guided by pastoral leaders with decades of experience strengthening churches and the pastors who lead them.

Chip Bernhard

Chip Bernhard

Lead Pastors Cohort

Pastor Chip Bernhard served as a pastor for 45 years — the last 38 as the Lead Pastor of Spring Creek Church in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, a thriving congregation in the Milwaukee area.

Throughout his ministry, Chip has been known for a shepherd’s heart, proven leadership, and biblical preaching marked by warmth, sound exegesis, and practical application. Under his leadership, God grew Spring Creek from 500 to over 2,200 in weekly attendance, leading the church through a remarkable journey of health, unity, and impact.

Chip guided Spring Creek through a historic relocation — selling the “old church” and moving seven miles west to a 99-acre campus, as well as a name change from Garfield Baptist Church to Spring Creek Church. He led six capital campaigns, cast vision for biblical stewardship, and built a long-tenured, talented, and unified pastoral team. His leadership also shaped a church culture deeply rooted in missions, generosity, and community outreach, including annual all-church Bible readings and creative ways to connect with their city.

For over two decades, Chip served as chaplain for the Milwaukee Bucks, investing spiritually in players and staff, and has also served as a trustee and chairman (several times) at Cedarville University.

An outside consulting team once surveyed Spring Creek and determined it to be one of the healthiest churches they had studied in 21 years — a reflection of Chip’s steady leadership and faithful commitment to God’s Word.

Now, in retirement, Chip is turning his focus toward mentoring and equipping the next generation of pastors through The Church Hub. His decades of wisdom and practical experience help pastors find clarity, encouragement, and longevity in ministry.

Chip’s passion remains simple and steadfast: to see pastors flourish, churches stay healthy, and the mission of Christ continue to multiply.
